Genentech Lab TI Tour
Led by Thomas Shih from Genentech
Please join us on May 23rd, 2024 for a tour of The Clinical Supply Center (CSC) in South San Francisco is a GMP facility designed to deliver drug substance material for our clinical pipeline. The facility takes advantage of single-use equipment and modern data systems removing the need for clean in place skids, autoclaves, and paper documentation. The facility showcases our innovative technology and was designed to support tours that allow you to see almost every step in the process without having to don gowning.
In May 2023, Genentech’s CSC received the 2023 FOYA Pharma 4.0™ Category Award for its industry leadership in the application of bold objectives and end-to-end planning, innovation in applying digital technologies, deep team alignment, and challenging paradigms, which resulted in the development of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that delivers improved outcomes in terms of construction, safety, sustainability, facility productivity, and improved patient access to innovative medicines.
Speaker Information :
Joanna Tong is a Senior Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner in Genentech’s Chief Diversity Office (CDO). In her role, she works with business leaders and employees to embed and implement Genentech’s D&I enterprise strategy, centered around three pillars: Foster Belonging, Advance Inclusive Research and Health Equity and Transform Society.
Prior to joining the CDO, Joanna spent 12+ years in local and global manufacturing and quality roles at Genentech. She earned her B.S in Chemical-Biological Engineering at MIT, with a minor in Biology.
