Golf Course Design at Top Golf - 2023

Please join us for an opportunity to learn about Golf course design by Brett Hochstein. During this introductory presentation, he will cover:

  • What is Golf Course Design?
  • The History of Golf Design
  • Golf Design and Construction
  • What is next in Golf Design?

Who is Brett Hochstein you ask?
Brett is a golf course architect and shaper known for a detail-oriented, hands-on approach to design.  Understanding that golf design is not a two-dimensional craft, he spends extra time working the land in a bulldozer and with a shovel to create the three-dimensional forms that are so important to how a golf course looks and plays.  This passionate attitude extends all the way back to when he was 4 years old and just beginning to play the game.  While spending all his free time drawing golf courses, it was decided at that early age to become a golf architect, where he would then go on to complete a landscape architecture degree at Cornell University, study turfgrass management at the Home of Golf in Scotland, and work with some of the best designers and shapers in the world.  With his own firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area—Hochstein Design—Brett looks at every project as a special opportunity to make that particular golf course the most naturally beautiful, sustainable, and fun-to-play version of itself.

At Top Golf, you will also meet numerous Asian American Commercial Real Estate Professionals and  learn more about our membership and scholarship programs.
